Readers of mystery and crime fiction have become increasingly knowledgeable about forensics and expect forensic science to come into play in a modern story. This development requires writers to appreciate the basics of forensic science.

For seven years, I taught my online course, “Forensic Science for Writers,” which Education To Go offered through colleges and other organizations. More than 800 students took the course, including schoolteachers, law enforcement personnel, attorneys, and many writers (both published and pre-published). I wrote a book based upon this course. I also wrote a book about criminal investigators and criminals in history.
